What your visitors get

The calculator uses the formula and the cohort figures CSSE publishes in its annual Standardisation Report, for 2026, 2024, 2022, 2020 entry. For those years it is not an estimate — it is the same calculation the consortium ran.

We checked it against CSSE’s own published results for all 5,103 children who sat the 2026 test. Across the whole range our largest disagreement with CSSE is 0.54 of a point. How that check was done →

No data about the child leaves the browser. The date of birth and the marks are calculated inside the frame on the visitor’s own machine and never reach our server. That is true because the calculation has no network call in it at all, not because we promise to delete anything.

What it costs you

Nothing, and there is no catch to find. No account, no key, no email address, no expiry.
No layout jump. The frame reserves its height before it loads, so nothing on your page shifts when it arrives. A widget that moves your content is a widget that lands in your Search Console.
Your theme cannot break it and it cannot break your theme. It renders in an iframe, so your CSS and ours never meet.
It stays current on its own. When CSSE publishes the next year’s figures, your copy updates when ours does. There is nothing for you to re-paste, and no version of this that leaves you showing numbers we know are stale.

What we get

The credit line. It is an ordinary link in your page’s HTML, it is the reason this is free, and we would rather say so than have you find it later. If you would prefer not to carry it, please do not use the widget — removing the link and keeping the calculator is the one thing we would ask you not to do.

If it ever breaks

The credit line is plain HTML in your own page and does not depend on our script running at all. If the calculator fails to load for any reason, the frame removes itself and your page is left with the line of text, not an empty box. Nothing we do can leave a broken panel sitting on your site.

The script address, https://tutoring11plus.co.uk/embed/v1.js, will not change. If we ever need to break something we will publish a new address and keep this one working, so you will not be asked to edit fifty pages.

Questions we expect

Where do I paste it?

Anywhere that accepts HTML. In WordPress that means a Custom HTML block rather than a paragraph — a paragraph block will show the code as text. In Wix, Squarespace and Weebly it is the embed or code element. The snippet is one contiguous block; paste all four lines.

Can I use it on more than one page?

Yes, on as many pages and as many sites as you like, with the same snippet. If two copies end up on one page you will still get one calculator.

Do you track my visitors?

No. There is no analytics script, no cookie and no beacon inside the frame. We can see which sites request the calculator, in the same server logs any website has, and the tag in your credit link tells us how many people followed it. Neither of those is a record of a person.

Will you add the Kent Test?

Not yet, and honestly rather than as a roadmap answer. Kent is marked by GL Assessment, which publishes no cohort figures, so any Kent calculator is an estimate — ours says so and gives a band. It is a weaker tool than this one and it is not the right thing to lead with. Our Kent tool is here if it is useful to you as a page to link to.
